About us

Mia Al Mar sits right on the white beach of Patar in Bolinao, at the far western tip of Pangasinan. The beach faces west, so the sun sets straight in front of the rooms, and a reef about 50 metres out keeps the water calm and clear.

For years we were Polly’s Place, named after the owner’s father. When we registered the resort, that name was already taken, so it became Mia Al Mar: Mia by the sea. Same family, same beach, same welcome. Guests have been coming back since before the change.

We’re small and quiet, and we don’t run a restaurant. Instead there’s a common kitchen with an LPG stove, a grill with free charcoal, tables under the palms, and a sari-sari store and a grocery a short walk away. The Enchanted Cave is close enough to walk to, and we can arrange a tricycle for Bolinao Falls and the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse.
